Stainless Steel 316L is a low carbon version of 316 steel, providing excellent weldability and corrosion resistance especially in chloride environment Its composition contains about 16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel and 2-3% molybdenum, a trace amounts of manganese, silicon and carbon. The reduction in carbon increases the sensing resistance during welding. Mechanical properties include 480-620 MPa tensile strength, 170-310 MPa yield strength, and 40-50% elongation. This compound is commonly used in the marine, chemical and food processing industries due to its corrosion resistance and excellent strength.

Stainless Steel 316L Angles are crafted from a low-carbon austenitic stainless steel that contains around 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum. The low carbon content helps reduce carbide precipitation during welding, which in turn boosts resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chemical damage in environments rich in chlorides and acids. SS 316L is known for its excellent tensile and yield strength, high toughness, and good formability. This unique blend of corrosion resistance, mechanical performance, and weldability makes it a top choice for structural and process applications in challenging environments.
The stainless steel 316L angle offers many advantages, including exceptional corrosion resistance, especially in chloride zones, making it ideal for marine and chemical applications Its low carbon content enhances its weldability and reduces risk of carbide precipitation. This material is very durable and maintains strength and performance at high temperatures. Stainless steel 316L is also non-magnetic and offers excellent formability, ensuring versatility in construction and construction applications. It is easy to maintain, offers long-term reliability and low maintenance costs, making it desirable for many businesses.
These Stainless Steel 316L Angles find extensive use in industries that demand exceptional corrosion resistance, strength, and long-lasting durability. They’re commonly utilized in chemical processing equipment, petrochemical facilities, marine structures, and pharmaceutical machinery. Additional applications include food processing systems, desalination plants, wastewater treatment facilities, and structural frameworks that face harsh conditions. SS 316L angles offer reliable support for piping, equipment frameworks, and components that are exposed to chemical, thermal, or marine environments, making them an outstanding option for demanding industrial settings.
